Description
This 16 AWG 8 pair extended run instrumentation cable is designed for industrial control and signal transmission in raceways, cable trays, and ducts. It features stranded bare copper conductors with PVC/Nylon insulation, an overall Beldfoil® shield with 100% coverage, a 16 AWG tinned copper drain wire, and a black PVC jacket.
The Exposed Run (ER) rating on this cable means it meets crush and impact testing requirements, and is therefore tough enough to run outside a cable tray without additional protection, unlike standard tray cables which must be installed inside a conduit, raceway or other protection.
Applications
1071A is designed for use in industrial control, raceways, cable trays and ducts, digital control, instruments (4-20ma, 0-10v, ...), low voltage digital control (24v, …), encoders, control circuits, distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), solenoids, valves, actuators and positioners.
