Copper SER (Service Entrance, Style R) cable carries power from the service drop to the meter base and main panel, using insulated copper phase conductors with a bare copper neutral or ground in a reinforced round assembly. Rated 600V with XHHW-2 insulation at 90°C, it has a sunlight-resistant PVC jacket suited for the above-ground outdoor run.
Used for residential and commercial service entrance and feeder installations where copper conductor is specified in place of aluminum.
