Flat festoon cable is built for continuous flexing in cranes, hoists, robots, conveyors, and jetways. It uses bare copper conductors in color-coded, flame- and oil-resistant PVC insulation, with a durable PVC jacket rated 600V and -40°C to 105°C, and it's UL-listed and CSA-certified for indoor or outdoor use.
The flat, ribbon-like shape is a deliberate design choice, keeping the conductors from twisting or tangling as the cable travels back and forth along a festoon track.
