Description
This 20 AWG multi-conductor cable is a 300V PLTC/ITC-rated solution designed for organized multi-point thermocouple extension in industrial environments. As a Type KX thermocouple extension cable, it utilizes solid chromel and alumel extension-grade conductors to extend signals from Type K thermocouples while maintaining thermal accuracy.
The cable features four individually shielded thermocouple pairs and includes a 22 AWG stranded bare copper common conductor for centralized grounding. Each pair is insulated with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and protected by individual and overall Beldfoil® aluminum-polyester foil shields (100% coverage) to reduce EMI interference. A sunlight-resistant yellow PVC outer jacket provides protection in raceways, cable trays, and duct installations where PLTC and ITC ratings are required.
Applications
1012A is designed for industrial control, raceways cable trays and ducts, digital control, instruments (4-20ma, 0-10v, ...), low voltage digital control (24v, …), thermocouple, distributed control systems (DCS), and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Construction
- 20 AWG solid chromel (positive) and alumel (negative) conductors
- 4 pairs: yellow, red and numbered 1-4
- 22 AWG stranded (7x30) bare copper common conductor, orange
- Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation
- Individually shielded pairs and overall Beldfoil® aluminum-polyester foil (100% coverage)
- 22 AWG stranded (7x30) tinned copper drain wire for the inner shield
- 20 AWG stranded (7x28) tinned copper drain wire for the outer shield
- Yellow Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) outer jacket with ripcord
