From 6 AWG to 500 MCM, Class K is considered a standard welding cable. A single stranded copper conductor, comprised of 30 AWG strands with an EPDM jacket. Class K is both durable and economical, used for secondary voltage resistance welding leads and other power supply applications that do not exceed 600 volts. While Class K cables typically are not UL or CSA certified, some cables, like Direct Wire's UL 3284, are certified for a variety of other uses.
