Description
This 16 gauge 4 conductor high performance cable, manufactured by Lapp Group, is a reduced diameter shielded VFD. VFD stands for variable frequency drive and is used to detect frequencies and reduce voltage spikes within a variable feed drive. This cable has a special “Lapp Surge Guard'' insulation made of a semi conductive material that distributes voltage increases to protect the conductor and cable from failure. For extra protection it has a double shield of foil tape and tinned copper braid with a drain wire. Some applications for this cable include: VFD drive and motor connections, web presses, HVAC, and conveyors.
