Description
Belden 9729 is a computer EIA RS-232/422 Low Cap, Digital Audio Cable. It is 24 AWG stranded (7x32) featuring 2 twisted pairs of tinned copper conductors, and includes a 24 AWG drainwire (also 7x32).
Belden Datalene® Insulation, made from foamed polyethylene (FPE), is designed with a low dialectric constant and dissipation factor which allows for low-distortion, high-speed data handling. Good crush resistance along with light weight are the important physical characteristics of the Belden Datalene® insulation.
Overall Beldfoil® Shield provides 100% coverage using an aluminum and polyester construction that is thin and lightweight, while offering strength and flexibility, as well as extra insulation. It is excellent at both radio and audio frequencies. It is not intended for applications that require the shield to have high tensile strength, and fatigue life is fair, although special techniques can extend it's usuability in high flex situations.
PVC Jacket According to Belden's Capabilities Bulletin, the PVC jacketing is considered excellent for resistance to oxidation, ozone and flame. It is also suitable for heat, weather, sun, acids and alkali exposure. Normal temperature range for a PVC jacket is -20 C to 80 C.
