Description
9402 is part of Belden's audio, control and instrumentation line of cables. It is a multi-conductor cable with two twisted pairs of 20 AWG tinned copper conductors that are individually shielded with Belfoil, with a semi-rigid PVC insulation and 22 AWG stranded TC drain wire, all in a PVC jacket.
The 20 AWG stranded (7x28) tinned copper conductors that make up 9402 are best for fixed service installations including hook-up wire in cable raceways, or where some moderate flexing may occur, when disturbed for routine maintenance, for example.
Individual shielding of each pair creates optimum noise rejection, in addition to the noise-reducing advantages already created by twisted pair construction.
