Description
This 18 gauge 6 pair conductor is a high performance instrumentation PLTC-ER which stands for Power Limited Tray Cable with an Exposed Run. The Exposed Run (ER) rating on this cable means it meets crush and impact testing requirements, and is therefore tough enough to run outside a cable tray without additional protection, unlike standard tray cables which must be installed inside a conduit, raceway, or other protection. This cable has a PVC insulation and a PVC jacket with an individual Beldfoil shield. The Beldfoil shield, made of an aluminum/polyester laminate, provides a 100% coverage for protection and covers each individual pair with a 20 gauge stranded tinned copper drain wire. Some applications for this cable include: instrumentation, sensors, valves, and positioners.
