Belden 8108 24/8P RS-232/422 Low Cap Cable TC Shielded CM Datalene PE/PVC 300V Chrome

This 24 AWG multi-pair cable supports EIA RS-232/422 data transmission and computer communication applications. It features eight twisted pairs of stranded tinned copper conductors insulated with Datalene® (foam polyethylene) for stable electrical performance. The cable is shielded with an overall Beldfoil® shield (100% coverage) and a 65% coverage tinned copper braid, along with a 24 AWG drain wire to provide effective grounding and reduce susceptibility to external electromagnetic interference. The overall construction is enclosed in a PVC jacket for indoor CM-rated installations.

Applications

8108 is designed for RS-232 extended distance applications; RS-422 applications; computer communications; low voltage analog signals (4-20ma, 0-10v, ...); low voltage digital control (24v, …); line level audio; panel wiring.
