Description
This DeviceBus® cable is a multi-pair industrial communications cable designed specifically for DeviceNet™ networks using the ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendor Association) common industrial protocol.
It features a 16 AWG stranded power pair and a 18 AWG stranded data pair with tinned copper conductors and dual shielding for robust signal integrity in harsh environments. The power pair uses PVC/Nylon insulation while the data pair uses polypropylene (PP) insulation all under a polyester tape separator and durable PVC jacket.
Belden supplies this cable on a standard crate pay-off reel, meaning it’s wound on a rigid spool that you place on a reel stand or jacks so the cable can rotate and feed out smoothly and evenly as you pull it into place.
Applications
7900A is designed for harsh environments, ODVA devise-level communication, used with CIP (common Industrial Protocol) for control, configuration, and data collection between devices, such as sensors and actuators, and higher level devices such as PLC, and PC in industrial automation, bus topology, etc.
