Description
The Belden 7838A is a 300V, CM-rated multi-conductor T1/DS1 central office interconnect/cross connect cable. It features two 22 AWG solid tinned copper twisted pairs, each individually insulated with foam Polyethylene/Datalene® and shielded with Beldfoil®.
Beldfoil® is Belden’s patented aluminum/polyester bi-laminate foil shield providing 100% coverage. This individual full-coverage foil improves resistance to EMI/RFI while preserving flexibility for industrial routing. In addition the dedicated 24 AWG drain wire for each pair with this cable ensures excellent crosstalk performance for reliable high-speed data transmission and is protected by a durable PVC outer jacket.
Belden supplies this cable in a standard crate reel put-up for controlled payout and ease of handling during installation.

- Individual Beldfoil® shields for each pair (100% coverage)
- 24 AWG solid tinned copper drain wire (one for each pair)
- Chrome PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) outer jacket
