Description
This 16 AWG 8 twisted pair tray cable (TC) is a 600V UL-rated instrumentation and control cable with drains and individual/overall Beldfoil® shield for reliable signal protection. Beldfoil® is Belden’s aluminum/polyester foil shield that provides 100% coverage to help block EMI and RFI while maintaining a lightweight, flexible cable design.
The Exposed Run (ER) rating on this cable means it meets crush and impact testing requirements, and is therefore tough enough to run outside a cable tray without additional protection, unlike standard tray cables which must be installed inside a conduit, raceway or other protection.
Applications
Designed for use in industrial control, raceways, cable trays and ducts, digital control, instruments (4-20ma, 0-10v, ...), low voltage digital control (24v, …), encoders, control circuits and distributed control.
Construction
- 16 AWG stranded (7x24) bare copper conductors
- 8 twisted pairs, black and white
- Polyvinyl Chloride and Nylon (PVC-NYL) insulation
- Inner Beldfoil shield (100% coverage) with each pair
- 20 AWG stranded (7x28) tinned copper drain wire with inner shield
- Overall Beldfoil shield (100% coverage)
- 20 AWG (7x28) tinned copper drain wire with outer shield
- Black Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) jacket
