Armored Cable

(Showing 24 of 65)

Armored cable uses a protective layer, steel wire, steel tape, or aluminum interlock, wrapped around insulated conductors, shielding them from physical damage, abrasion, and corrosion while providing a built-in fault current path. This hub covers two sub-categories: AIA (Aluminum Interlocked Armor) and UL Type MC 600V, spanning 65 SKUs in bare copper and bare aluminum conductor options.

This construction gives installers a self-protecting cable that can often skip the separate conduit run that unarmored cable would need, making it a practical choice anywhere conduit installation is impractical or the extra mechanical protection is worth the added cost.
