Description
This 4 AWG 3 conductor vinyl nylon tray cable (VNTC), also known as PVC/Nylon, is a general purpose 600 volt shielded control cable with ground wire for use where shielding from electro-static interference is required in power, control and lighting circuits. It is suitable for a broad range of commercial and industrial uses.
The Exposed Run (ER) rating on this cable means it meets crush and impact testing requirements, and is therefore tough enough to run outside a cable tray without additional protection, unlike standard tray cables which must be installed inside a conduit, raceway or other protection.
Applications:
- Power, control and lighting circuits
- In all raceways or direct burial
- In wet or dry locations
Construction:
- 4 AWG fully annealed stranded bare copper conductor per ASTM B3
- Class B stranding per ASTM B8 for conductors and ground
- 3 Conductors
- ICEA color code Method 4: black with numbered conductors
- Insulation is flame-retardant PVC with clear polyamide (nylon)
- Copper tape shield providing 100% coverage
- 6 AWG uninsulated annealed stranded bare copper ground conductor
- Lead-free, flame-retardant, sunlight-resistant Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) jacket
Standards:
- UL 1277 Type TC-ER
- IEEE 1202
- Rated for UV/sunlight resistance
